Racial Justice Rising hosted a potluck dinner welcoming walkers from the New England Peace Pagoda’s 17th annual Walk For A New Spring. Many thanks to community members who provided a wonderful meal!

In a program following the meal, we heard about these projects:
- Tim Bullock of the Peace Pagoda described the goals of this year’s walk.
- Mikey Sweet spoke about the toll of addictions on our society and a benefit for the Northampton Recovery Center, an addiction recovery program, which will take place in Northampton on April 13.
- Deb Habib and Ricky Baruc of Seeds of Solidarity spoke about their work for food justice.
- Ruth Bowman and Sherrill Hogen from Racial Justice Rising talked about the Poor People’s Campaign, including local organizing efforts.
We will have more information about the Poor People’s Campaign on our website soon, including local activities.
